To simplify funding documentation, Eksportfinans has standard documentation programs for short and long-term funding under several jurisdictions.
Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN)
Eksportfinans established its Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) program in 1991. The program is governed by English law. In recent years an increasing number of the company's funding transactions have been documented under the program, both as direct MTN issues and in combination with the company's Japanese shelf.
The program is updated on an annual basis. Our agent is Citibank N.A. and our trustee is Deutsche Trustee Company Limited. The program is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Complete documentation is available upon request.
United States Shelf and United States Medium Term Notes (USMTN)
Eksportfinans has been a borrower in the US domestic market since the early 1980s. The company's debt shelf under US legislation provides the ability to raise funds either through domestic private placements or global bond issues where, unlike Eurobond transactions, bonds can be sold to US-based investors.
The shelf was filed on February 4, 2010 (unlimited size) and is primarily designated to the Eksportfinans USMTN program.
Eksportfinans has raised funds in Japan using Yen loan documentation. Our standard loan agreement for this category of funding transaction is similar to the company's documentation of other program-governed funding transactions.
The loan agreement is available upon request.
